
Immediately after treatment there may be slight redness, swelling and tenderness. You may also get itching. This is temporary and passes in a few days.
Please apply an ice pack to the treated area – this helps to reduce swelling.
Treatment near the lips may have swelling that lasts longer. This can last for about a week and lips may look uneven during this time.
Please avoid touching injected areas for around 6 hours after treatment.
Avoid washing with soap for 6 hours.
Avoid applying make up to the area for 6 hours. After this light make up can be applied an washed off gently with soap and water.
Until the initial swelling and redness has resolved please avoid intense heat or cold (sunbathing etc.)
Avoid laser treatment, chemical peels or similar procedures as this may elicit an inflammatory reaction.
If you have suffered from cold sores before – there is a possibility that treatment may contribute to another eruption of sores.
If you take blood thinners (such as aspirin, anticoagulants etc) these may increase bruising and bleeding at injection sites.
